Polimex close to winning $100 mln road deal-paper
WARSAW, July 21 (Reuters) - A consortium led by Polish builder Polimex is close to winning a 200 million zloty ($98.4 million) road construction deal, a newspaper quoted its chief executive as saying on Monday.
"We will post an official statement after we receive a written confirmation that our offer proved to be the best one," Konrad Jaskola told daily Parkiet. "We hear that it was so."
Polimex, which offers a wide variety of infrastructure, industrial, and housing projects, told Reuters earlier this month it had raised sales by 20-30 percent in the first half -- in line with its forecasts for full-year 2008.
In 2007 the group's revenue grew by half to 3.72 billion zlotys.
Polimex placed its bid to build a roadway in southern Poland together with Slovak Doprastav.
