Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – MCI buys a mobile technology company. This acquisition is more expensive than the previous ones.
MCI, the fund based in Wroclaw, south-western Poland, has finalized another acquisition.
“This is a project agreed on in 2005 but we talk about it now because there were some questions”, Tomasz Czechowicz, MCI CEO said.
Details will be revealed tomorrow. The CEO said only that the acquisition is a mobile technology company.
This is a different project than acquisitions of Hoopla.pl (home appliances internet distributor), Cllix (client relations management systems for small business) or Domzdrowia.pl (medicine in internet). All these companies are start-ups. The investment level was up to PLN 1m (EUR 0.26m).
“This is going to be a substantial sum. If all our plans go well (jointly with future investments), it will exceed PLN 10m”, MCI CEO said.
Thanks to the newest acquisition, MCI will have 16 companies in its portfolio. At the end of the year, there will be 18-20 of them. Last month, MCI raised its 2005 financial forecast to PLN 6.78m from PLN 5.56m.
“There is a chance for us to even beat the forecast”, Tomasz Czechowicz said.
